Power management: battery exhaustive discharge

Fault description
The diagnostic function monitors the electrical system
voltage at the DME/DDE.

Condition for fault identification
Test condition:
The fault is recognized when the electrical system voltage
drops below 9.5 V for at least one minute.
Potential problem source(s):
- Increased power consumption leading to battery damage
while the vehicle is stationary
- Parked too long

Condition for fault memory entry
This fault is logged in the control module's fault memory if
it remains present for longer than 60 sec.

Action in service
- Conduct (ABL) energy diagnosis test module
- Ask customer if vehicle has remained parked for an
extended period
