Coolant pump, power-reduced operation: temperature limit
2 exceeded

Fault description
The diagnostic function monitors the electronics temperature
reported by the pump.

Condition for fault identification
Test condition:
The fault is recognized when the reported temperature is >
136 °C.
Potential problem source(s):
- Engine overheats
- Defective water pump
Terminal condition: Terminal 15
Voltage condition:
- Electrical system voltage > 10 V
Temperature condition:
- None
Time condition:
- None
Other conditions:
- No BSD fault

Condition for fault memory entry
This fault is logged in the control module's fault memory if
it remains present for longer than 10 sec.

Action in service
- If the engine has overheated (engine temperature >125 °C)
and the water pump can be activated without problems, then
no further action is required
- If the engine has not overheated then replace the water
pump
