Fault description
The diagnostic function monitors the plausibility of the
signals from the sensor reluctor ring.

Condition for fault identification
Test condition:
The fault is recognized when all of the teeth on the reluctor
wheel are no longer being detected.
Potential problem source(s):
- Crankshaft sensor defective
- Increment wheel defective
Terminal condition: none
Voltage condition:
- Electrical system voltage > 10 V
Temperature condition:
- None
Time condition:
- None
Other conditions:
- Engine on

Condition for fault memory entry
This fault is logged in the control module's fault memory
immediately.
