Fault text
Terminal 15N from CAS, signal: not switched off

Fault description
L4: The main relay is checked for sticking contacts.
L6: Not active

Condition for fault identification
Test condition:
8 seconds after Terminal 15 off the main relay contacts must
open and the voltage at the DME must return to 0V. If this
does not occur, the contacts are sticking or an electrical
malfunction is present.
Potential problem source(s):
- The control-activation wire is shorted to ground.
- The contacts in the relay are sticking closed.
Terminal condition: none
Voltage condition:
- Electrical system voltage > 10 V
Temperature condition:
- None
Time condition:
- When fault occurs a diagnostic fault code is logged after
8.9 sec.
Other conditions:
- Terminal 15 off

Condition for fault memory entry
This fault is logged in the control module's fault memory if
it remains present for longer than 1 sec.

Action in service
L4: 1. Unplug main relay. 2. Check control wire from DME
to main relay. If not OK, then repair. 3. Check the relay
contacts for electrical continuity. The contacts must be open
when the relay is disconnected. If not, then replace the relay.
