Air-mass flow sensor 2, measuring range: period duration
too low, air mass too high

Fault description
The diagnostic function monitors the lower limit of the Bank
2 air-mass signal's period duration.

Condition for fault identification
Test condition:
The diagnostic fault code is logged when the period duration
of the air mass signal 2 is < 80 �s.
Potential problem source(s):
- Intermittent open contact in signal wire
- Mass air flow sensor faulty
Terminal condition: none
Voltage condition:
- Electrical system voltage > 10 V
Temperature condition:
- None
Time condition:
- None
Other conditions:
- Engine running, engine speed > 1700 rpm

Condition for fault memory entry
This fault is logged in the control module's fault memory if
it remains present for longer than 1 sec.

Action in service
- Visual examination of plug-in contacts (at component and
DME ends) Perform electrical measurements on sensor wire,
power supply and ground (possible intermittent open!)
- Replace sensor
