Fault description
The diagnostic function monitors the duration of the
combustion strokes by processing the rpm signals.

Condition for fault identification
Test condition:
The fault is recognized when one combustion stroke is too
slow owing to combustion miss.
Potential problem source(s):
- Defect in mixture formation
- Defect in ignition system
- Mechanical defect
- Defective DME
Terminal condition: none
Voltage condition:
- Electrical system voltage > 10 V
Temperature condition:
- Coolant temperature > -20 °C
Time condition:
- None
Other conditions:
- Engine on

Condition for fault memory entry
The diagnostic fault code is logged when a specific number
of combustion miss events, with their negative effects on
exhaust emissions, are recognized within 1000 crankshaft
revolutions. This must proceed in 4 intervals.

- Conduct fault diagnosis using the 'Combustion miss' test
module
