Excessive Wind Noise with the Sunroof Open
MODEL
F07 (5 Series Gran Turismo) produced up to 11/5/2009
SITUATION
When driving at highway speeds with the sunroof open and the wind deflector extended, one of the following conditions may be observed:
^ A hissing or wind-rushing sound is heard from the wind deflector.
^ The wind deflector vibrates excessively.
CAUSE
The bow of the wind deflector is not rigid enough, and the extended height of the deflector is not optimal.
CORRECTION
Replace the wind deflector with an updated part.
