63 21 170 - Removing and installing/replacing left or right tail light





Important!

Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove left loading sill end cover 51 47 217 Loading Sill End Cover (Rear Light) On Left Or Right





Unfasten plug connection (1) and disconnect.
Unscrew nuts (2).
Tightening torque 63 21 1AZ [1][2][3][4]Mechanical Specifications.





Remove rear light (1) in direction of arrow.





Installation:
Make sure sealing frame (1) is exactly seated.
Make sure guides (2) of rear light (3) are correctly seated in associated mountings.
Make sure (outer) gap of rear light (3) is uniform all round.





Replacement:
- Replace sealing frame for rear light 63 21 101 Replacing Sealing Frame for Left or Right Rear Light
- Remove a socket housing for rear light 63 21 055 Replacing a Socket Housing for Left or Right Rear Light
