Repair instruction for 'grating noise at the B-pillar trim panel at the door frame'

To localise the noise
- Use silicone remover to clean the area of the B-pillar at the front door and allow to air.
- Mark the position of the B-pillar trim panel at the front door with adhesive tape. See Fig. 1.
- Remove the B-pillar trim panel.
- Attach the adhesive tape accurately around the edge of the door and ensure that a gap of approx. 2 mm remains to the marked position. See Fig. 2 and Fig. 3. After installation of the B-pillar trim panel, the adhesive tape must not be visible.
- Refit the B-pillar trim panel.
- Remove the marking at the B-pillar.

Mark the position of the B-pillar trim panel with adhesive tape.

Attach the adhesive tape accurately around the edge of the door and ensure that a gap of approx. 2 mm remains to the marked position.

Attach the adhesive tape smoothly onto the door frame.
