51 71 387 Removing And Installing/Renewing Rear Water Gutter Trim (rear Lid) On Left Or Right







Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove rear lid gas-filled struts
- If necessary, remove electric spindle drive for rear lid







WARNING:
Risk of injury.
Support rear lid in fully opened position with suitable apparatus.







NOTE: The operation is described on the left side; proceed in the same way for the right side.

Detach mucket (1) along water gutter (2).
Release clips - short (3) and long (4).
Release expansion rivet (5).

IMPORTANT: If clip mountings are removed during further operations (e.g. painting), always replace these mounting to ensure watertightness.
