Drive Unit Rattles

Repair instruction for rattling from the area of the drive unit for the panorama glass sunroof
Create access to the relevant drive unit.
- Front drive unit: remove the interior light.
- Rear drive mechanism: remove the headlining.

Tighten the mounting bolts of the drive unit and check whether the noise is still present.

If the rattling noise is still present, proceed as follows.
1. Remove the relevant drive unit.
2. Set up the glass slide/tilt sunroof cover horizontally.
3. Fit a new drive unit.

NOTE: on installation, make sure that the steel clips are undamaged. See Fig. 1.

4. Reinitialize panorama glass sunroof.

On installation of the new drive unit, make sure that the steel clips (1) are not damaged or bent.
