51 34 171 - Removing and installing/replacing rear left or right door window glass (Security)





Special tools required:





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove rubber guide for rear door window glass 51 34 211 Replacing Rubber Guide For Rear Left or Right Door Window

Important!
The insides of the windows have a polycarbonate coating which must not be damaged or scratched.
Clean with antistatic plastic cleaner* only.

Release screws (1). Gently pull trim (2) to facilitate feeding out of door window glass.





- Remove rear power window unit
- Remove rear door window guide trim





Attach special tool 51 0 100 to door window glass (1) and feed out in upward direction with gantry crane.
Door window glass does not need to be adjusted.





Important!
Power windows have no anti-trapping mechanism.
There is no "Close" one-touch function or "Close" comfort function in the Security version.
