Exhaust Gas Recirculation: Service and Repair

11 71 025 Removing And Installing/Replacing Throttle Valve (M57T2)







Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove acoustic cover







Unclip Bowden cable for engine bonnet/hood actuator from transverse reinforcement (1).
Release screws on left and right sides.
Tightening torque 51 71 4AZ







Unlock plug (1) and remove.
Unclip cable holder (3).

Unlock quick-connect coupling (2) on pressure pipe.
Detach pressure pipe from exhaust gas recirculation valve.







Release screws (1).
Tightening torque 11 71 4AZ
Remove throttle valve from exhaust gas recirculation valve.







Installation:
Clean sealing surfaces.
Replace gasket (1).







Assemble engine.
