11 71 101 Removing and installing or replacing low pressure exhaust gas recirculation radiator (M57T2- SCR)

Risk of burning!
Only perform this repair work on an engine that has cooled down.





Necessary preliminary work:
^ Drain coolant from radiator.
^ Remove reinforcement plate
^ Remove rear underbody protection
^ Remove intake silencer housing





Release and remove intake pipe (1) between air filter housing and turbocharger.

Release clamp (2).

Tightening torque 11 71 3AZ.

Detach coolant hoses (3) from EGR cooler.

Release screws (4) on EGR cooler and remove EGR cooler.

Tightening torque 11 71 1AZ.





Installation Note:
Replace all gaskets.

Assemble engine.

Vent cooling system.

Check cooling system for watertightness.
