52 14 032 Backrest Frame For Left Or Right Passenger Seat

52 14 032 - Removing and installing/replacing backrest frame for left or right passenger seat





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove passenger seat 52 14 002 Removing and Installing Front Seat, Passenger Side
- Partially remove backrest cover Backrest Cover For Passenger Seat for front seat

Note:
For purposes of clarity the following operations are shown with the backrest cover removed.





Detach clips (2).

Installation:
Replace faulty clips (2).

Unlock plug connections (1) and disconnect.

Detach wiring harness retainers from backrest frame.
Feed wiring harness out of backrest frame.





Unclip left and right clips (1).
Unhook seat covers (2) on left and right.
Release left and right screws (3).
Tightening torque 52 10 2AZ 52 10 Front Seats.
Remove backrest frame.





Replacement only:
- If necessary, remove lumbar cushion with drive and valve block
- Remove side airbag
- Remove complete backrest cover
- Remove carrier plate for rear cabin entertainment

Note:
The new backrest frame part contains all the drives.





Version with rear cabin monitor (RSE) only:
Blind rivet threaded pins for carrier plate must be reset.
Attach blind rivet thread pins with ZS 308 rivet gun (see BMW Web catalogue).
