54 34 347 Removing And Installing/Replacing Rear Roof Frame Seal







Necessary preliminary work:
- Open soft top until working area is accessible
- Open side windows







WARNING:
- Soft top becomes pressureless without a warning signal.
- For all repair work, secure soft top with a suitable support tool against collapsing.
- Ensure soft top is supported in the middle.
- Ignition must remain switched off during the repair work.
- Failure to comply with this instruction may result in the hydraulic valves incurring preliminary damage.







Unclip insert part (1) from rear roof frame seal on left and right.







Detach seal (window guide) from seal holder.

Press together the seal lip in the marked area with tool and undo the latch mechanism.







Installation note:
Make sure seal (2) is correctly seated on seal carrier (1).







Lever soft top fabric welt out of window guides (1) on left and right.







Pull window guide away from soft-top bow.







Installation note:
Rear window guide must be flush with middle window guide.

Side windows must run into window guide correctly and rest in window guide over entire width.

Run a function check.

Check setting of side window and adjust if necessary.
