51 24 165 Removing And Installing/Replacing Side Left Or Right Rear Lid Buffer Stops

Special tools required:







Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove luggage compartment capping







NOTE: The operation is described on the left side; proceed in the same way for the right side.

Lever out clips (1) with special tool 00 9 317 at water gutter trim (2).
Detach mucket (3) along water gutter (2).







Release screws (2) and nuts (3) on stop.

Installation:
Adjust both buffer stops (1) (work is described in Adjusting rear lid).
Tightening torque for screws (2) 41 62 9AZ.
Tightening torque for nuts (3) 41 62 9AZ.
