Panorama Sunroof Leaking
Repair instruction for panorama sunroof
Cause:
Water enters through the channel for the drive cable.
NOTE: Replacing the roof panel will not remedy this problem. Replacing the roof panel will not remedy this problem.
Test instruction:
Before the repair, the following check must be executed:
1. The panorama sunroof is set correctly.
2. The all-round seal has already been replaced and has no gaps.
3. The drain hoses from the panorama sunroof are not soiled.
4. The drain hoses each permit a drainage volume of 3 liters per minute.
5. The cause of the leak does not lie at the windscreen.
Required material:
- 2 x felt, part number: 3 421 311.9
- 1 x foam material, size: DIN A4, thickness: 10 mm
Repair instructions:
1. Cut foam material to size, see illustration for dimensions.
2. Attach felt number 1 to foam material (adhesive), see illustration.
3. Cut felt number 2 through the centre.
4. Remove the roof operating unit
5. Bond the felt halves of felt number 2 on the right and left.
6. Push the prepared foam material with bonded felt number 1 upwards into the headlining.
7. Fit the foam material completely.
8. Install the roof operating unit.
