SITUATION
The ability to view the signal strength of the BMW Assist Network Access Device (NAD), either in the radio or Central Information Display (CID) was eliminated on vehicles from 09/05 production.
When diagnosing BMW Assist services related complaints or when trying to diagnose BMW Assist initialization issues, it is important to be able to view the wireless network signal strength. As an alternative to using the BMW Diagnosis System, it may be more convenient to view the wireless network signal strength directly from the vehicle.
The NAD signal strength, as well as the network registration information can be viewed in the service mode of the head unit.
