Special tools required:
- 00 9 321 00 9 310 Assembly Wedges (Set in Plastic Case)





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove convertible top compartment lid Removing and installing Convertible Top Compartment Lid





Carefully lever seal (1) with special tool 00 9 321 00 9 310 Assembly Wedges (Set in Plastic Case) off convertible top compartment lid (2).

Note:
Clean adhesive residue with adhesive remover (sourcing reference: BMW Parts Service).





Important!
Do not pull off liner (protective strip for protective film) yet.

Stick adhesive tape (3) at distance (A) to marked edge (2) to convertible top compartment lid on left/right.

(A) = 13 mm
After sticking on seal (1), remove adhesive tape (3).





Installation:
Do not pull or squash seal (1) over entire length.
Pull off liner (protective film for adhesive surface).
Place seal (1) on adhesive tape (see previous work step).
Stick on seal (1) until flush with front edge of convertible top compartment lid (2).
