Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove center armrest Removing and Installing/Replacing Armrest for Rear Seat Backrest (Through-Loading System)
- Remove ski bag Removing and Installing/Replacing Ski Bag (Through-Loading) and Frame with frame and trim
- Remove backrest cover with padding Replacing Backrest Cover for Rear Seat (Through-Loading System) on Left
E61 only:
- Remove rear middle inertia reel unit





Replacement only:
Release all screws and remove parts:
1. Clip for armrest
2. Armrest lock
3. Backrest lock
4. Head restraint mount
