51 47 440 - Removing and installing/replacing rear carpet on seat pan





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove both front seats
- Remove rear seat Rear Seat - Normal
- Remove both panels for door pillars Removing and Installing/Replacing Trim For Left or Right Door Pillar (Bottom)
- Remove both rear inner entrance cover strips 51 47 030 Removing and Installing/Replacing Rear (Inside) Left or Right Entrance Cover Strip
- Remove handbrake lever Service and Repair
Version with central bass speaker:
- Remove both central bass speaker trims Removing and Installing/Replacing Left or Right Central Bass Speaker (Under Front Seat)
Build date from 09/05:
- Remove airbag control unit Removing and Installing/Replacing Airbag Control Unit (Build Date From 09/05)





Build date up to 08/05:
If necessary, disconnect plug connections from air duct (1).
Remove air duct (1).
Lay back cable (2) and feed out carpet (3) towards rear/top.

Installation:
Make sure that handbrake Bowden cable, cable, apertures for air guides and attachment points are correctly positioned.
