6HP19TU (6HP21) - Fault 5087: One-Touch Hardware is Stored

MODEL
E93 with the N54 engine produced up to 10/1/2007

SITUATION
The EGS fault code 5087: Hardware, inputs, one-touch function is stored; however, no functional problem or customer complaint is reported.

CAUSE
The fault code entry is generated due to the hardware version of the steering wheel shift levers.

CORRECTION
The fault entry is of no consequence and can be cleared.
