SUBJECT
N54 Performance Power Kit with Boost Pressure Control Faults Stored

MODEL
E82, E88, E90, E92, and E93 with N54 and the BMW Performance Power Kit

SITUATION

The engine warning is displayed and engine power is reduced. If this were to occur, both of the following boost pressure control faults would be stored in the DME:

30FE - boost pressure control system, boost pressure too-high

30FF - boost pressure control system, switch-off

CAUSE

DME software error

CORRECTION

This situation could affect all models with the BMW Performance Power Kit installed and a current vehicle integration level of E89X-09-12-512 or lower.

Program the vehicle using ISTA/P 2.37.0 or higher.

Note that ISTA/P will automatically reprogram and code all programmable control modules that do not have the latest software.
