54 34 250 - Removing and installing/replacing a tension strap





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Partially remove Convertible top fabric Service and Repair





Warning!
Soft top becomes pressureless without a warning signal.
For all work, secure soft top with a suitable support tool against collapsing.
Ensure Convertible top is supported in the middle.
Ignition must remain switched off during the repair work.
Failure to comply with this instruction may result in the hydraulic valves incurring preliminary damage.





Disconnect rivet connections (1) for fastening tension strap (2).

Important!
Remove rivet remnants completely (rattling noises).

Feed tension strap (2) out of Convertible top frame and remove.
