54 37 ... - Removing and installing/replacing Convertible top drive
Necessary preliminary tasks:

Warning!
Soft top becomes pressureless without a warning signal.
For all work, secure soft top with a suitable support tool against collapsing.
Ensure Convertible top is supported in the middle.
Ignition must remain switched off during the repair work.
Failure to comply with this instruction may result in the hydraulic valves incurring preliminary damage.
Installation:
- Microencapsulated screws (Loctite) must be replaced and may not be reused
- Screw connection must be completed within 20 minutes (start of curing)
- Microencapsulated screws must not be retightened
- Thread of nut must be cleaned beforehand in event of repeated use
Important!
Do not lift off ball socket with engaged retaining bar.
Replace overelongated retaining bar.
Before installation, grease ball socket if necessary.
Open retaining bar on left and right and unclip ball end (1).
Unfasten plug connection (1) and disconnect.
Note:
Secure Convertible top drive (3) against falling down.
Unfasten screws (2).
Remove Convertible top drive (3).
