Convertible Top Compartment Lid Trim Strip

Repair instruction for tensioning bar grating on the convertible top compartment lid trim strip:
Tensioning bar grates on the convertible top compartment lid trim strip; traces of abrasion might be visible on the trim strip.

Repair instruction
1. Clean the trim strip and seal

NOTE: Only use residue-free BMW rubber protection coating agent.

2. If it is a new vehicle or if the convertible cover has just been replaced, the noise can disappear of its own accord due to the settling properties of the cover after approx. one week.
3. Set the gap dimension between the tensioning bar and trim strip to smaller than 5 mm.

NOTE: Make the adjustment using the convertible top compartment lid; do not adjust the tensioning bar. Use spacer plates from the EPC for adjustment.
