51 23 210 - Removing and installing/replacing cable for hood/bonnet lock (in engine compartment)





Special tools required:





Warning!
Scalding hazard!

Only perform work after engine has cooled down.





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove hood/bonnet lock Removing and Installing/Replacing Right Hood/Bonnet Lock





Lever out cover (1) from coupler (2) in direction of arrow.

Lever out Bowden cable (3) in direction of arrow and remove.





Unclip coupler (1) with special tool 00 9 317 in direction of arrow.





Installation Note:
Catches (1 and 2) on cable for hood/bonnet lock (3) must not be damaged.





Unclip cable (1) from retaining clip (2) and feed out through front panel (3).

Installation Note:
Retaining clip (2) must not be damaged.
