SUBJECT
[NEW] Automatic Hydraulic (EH) Top with Hydraulic Stowage Latch

MODEL
[NEW] E85 (Z4 Roadster) produced from 4/06 equipped with an automatic hydraulic (EH) top (option code 399)

SITUATION

The convertible top may not lock into the lowered position in the convertible top compartment. When this occurs the indicator lamp will flash, indicating that the cycle is not complete.

To improve the latching of the convertible top, the mechanical stowage latch has been replaced by a hydraulic latching strategy.





Note:
The latch release button (1) between the seats is still present, but no longer functional.
