51 21 310 Removing And Installing/Replacing Window Cavity Cover Strip On Front Door

Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove door trim panel







NOTE: Window cavity cover strip comes in one part for outside (4) and inside (2).

Pop cover (1) out of front door.
Detach inner window cavity cover strip (2) from retainers (3) towards top.
Detach outer window cavity cover strip (4) from outer door panel towards inside/top.

Installation:
Coat window cavity cover strip (1) with water before fitting.







Installation:
If necessary, detach faulty retainers (1) from inner door panel and replace.







Installation:
Following parts of window cavity cover strip (6) must not be damaged or missing:
1 Catches
2 Inner window cavity cover strip
3 Sealing lips
4 Outer window cavity cover strip
5 Aluminium strip
