SUBJECT
Washer Fluid Reservoir Leak

MODEL
E70 (X5) produced up to 7/9/07

SITUATION
Primarily while driving, washer fluid may leak out of the breather on the reservoir and drain out through the wheel well liner. When the vehicle is then parked, a puddle of washer fluid may be present under the right front corner of the vehicle.

CAUSE
The diameter of the breather on the fluid reservoir is too large.

CORRECTION
The breather has been reduced in size from 1 0mm to 5mm.

PROCEDURE
In case of a customer complaint, replace the washer fluid reservoir per repair instruction RA 61 71 061.
