SUBJECT
3rd Row Seat Belt Retainer Broken

MODEL
E70 (X5)

SITUATION
The retaining clip for the 3rd row seat belt, located on the side panel in the luggage compartment, may be broken off. This clip may now be ordered as a separate spare part.

CAUSE
High forces cause the tabs on the back of the seat belt retaining clip to break.

PROCEDURE
If the retaining clip is damaged and must be replaced:

1. Line up the clip over the mounting bracket on the rear side panel.

2. Press the clip onto the mounting bracket.
