SUBJECT
Driver's Seat Cannot Be Calibrated
MODEL
E70 (X5)
SITUATION
The "Seat Calibration Necessary" check control message appears and the drivers seat cannot be calibrated using the seat controls.
This situation typically occurs shortly after the vehicle is taken out of transport mode and fault code 9E77 for "normalization, longitudinal seat adjustment" will be stored in the seat module (SMFA).
CAUSE
Under investigation.
PROCEDURE:
1. Do not replace any parts.
2. [NEW] Follow the seat calibration test plan which can be found on the DIS Plus or GT1 by selecting: "Function Selection/Service Functions/Safety Functions/Normalization, longitudinal seat adjustment".

This test plan is only available as of DIS update 16.8 (available via online-update as of 02/20/07).
