SUBJECT
Taillight Partially Inoperative

Vehicles produced from October 23, 2006 to April 1, 2007

SITUATION
Either the left or right taillight is partially inoperative.

CAUSE
Poor connection of the female wire contact(s) to the male terminal(s) on the outer rear lamp housing(s).

CORRECTION
Do not replace any parts.





1. Open the left or right flap of the luggage compartment trim per repair instructions RA 51 47 172.

2. Check all 5 wires male to female connections for correct contact on the outer rear lamp housing (s). Secure a loose wire contact to the correct terminal (1).

3. Close the left or right flap of the luggage compartment trim per repair instructions RA 51 47 172.

Please refer to the latest KSD for all applicable labor operations and allowances.

If the appropriate labor operation is not contained in KSD, then a work time labor operation should be used.
