Contact Between Inner and Outer Rear Lamps

MODEL
E70 (X5)

Vehicles produced up to November 19, 2006

SITUATION
There is contact between the inner and outer rear lamps causing damage to the inner rear lamp when opening and closing the rear hatch.

CAUSE
Unfavorable tolerances between the inner and outer rear lamp assemblies.

CORRECTION





Replace the inner rear lamp (1) with updated parts as per repair instructions RA 63 21 183.

Note:
Only perform the repair to the affected side.
