SUBJECT
Sunroof will not Close from Tilt Position

MODEL
E70 (X5) produced up to January 2007

SITUATION

Intermittently, the panoramic sunroof will not close from the vent/tilt position.

CAUSE

Software error.


CORRECTION

A software correction is available with Progman V25.0.0.

PROCEDURE

^ Do not replace any parts.

^ On a customer complaint basis, program and code the entire vehicle with Progman V25.0.0 or higher.

^ Refer to B09 05 01 (Coding, Individualization, Programming), procedure B.

WARRANTY INFORMATION

Covered under the terms of the BMW New Vehicle Limited Warranty.
