SUBJECT:
Radio Turns Off After 8 Minutes and Time and Date Display is Cleared

MODEL:
E60, E61 (5 Series) with option 606 (MASK2)
E63, E64 (6 Series) with option 606 (MASK2)

SITUATION

The radio turns off after 8 minutes instead of 25 minutes in KL-30 mode (radio turned on via the rotary knob with the ignition off).

The time and date display is cleared.

After switching the ignition on, the radio turns back on and the time and date must be reset.

CAUSE

Incorrect coding data in the Body Gateway Module (KGM).

Fault Code "A559 - Terminal 30g_f_shutdown" is stored in the Instrument Cluster.

[NEW] CORRECTION

Do not replace parts.

The problem has been integrated into DIS diagnostics. Follow diagnostics using the latest DIS version.
