Overview of functions
The oil supply of the S85 is ensured by 2 mechanically driven oil pumps. In addition, two electrical oil pumps ensure that the engine oil is delivered from the cylinder heads to the oil pan on extreme cornering.

The oil-pressure sensor reports to the DME that a critical oil-pressure limit has been undershot.

The oil condition sensor measures the temperature and level of engine oil as well as the conditions of the engine oil. The oil condition sensor is connected to the DME via the BSD bus.
