13 62 604 - Replacing pulse generator on left exhaust camshaft (S85)

(cylinder bank 6 to 10)





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Read out fault memory of DME control unit; if necessary, work through test schedules
- Switch off ignition
- Remove left intake filter housing Removing and Installing Left Intake Filter Housing (S85)
- Remove left ignition coil cover





Release plug connector (1) and pull off.
Release screw.
Remove pulse generator (2).

Installation Note:
Replace sealing ring and coat with antiseize agent.





Note:
Now clear the fault memory.
