Replacing A Socket Housing For Left or Right Rear Light (on Side Panel)

63 21 055 - Replacing a socket housing for left or right rear light (on side panel) (up to 09/07)





Warning!
Follow instructions for handling light bulbs (exterior lights) Instructions for Handling Light Bulbs (Exterior Lights).





Unclip cover (1) in direction of arrow and remove.





Turn socket housing for rear light (1) in direction of arrow and remove from rear light (2).
Cut associated wiring harness with sufficient residual length remaining in vehicle and remove socket housing for rear light (1).

Installation Note:
If necessary, remove bulb Replacing Bulb(s) For Left or Right Rear Light (on Side Panel).
Wiring is carried out with connectors 61 13 ... Butt Connector For Repairing A Plug Connection.
Wrap wiring harness in insulating tape and secure against rattling.
Make sure socket housing for rear light (1) is correctly engaged and seated on rear light (2).
