Replacing Halogen Bulb For Left (or Right) High-Beam Headlight
63 99 002 - Replacing halogen bulb for left (or right) high-beam headlight (up to 09/07)
Warning!
Version with xenon headlights: Danger to life due to high voltage! Therefore, before removing, disconnect all components from the power supply (lighting system and ignition off).
Work on the entire xenon lighting system (control unit, ignition unit with bulb) may only be carried out by specialist personnel.

Note:
Removing the pull cables on the hood/bonnet lock is only required for replacing the halogen bulb for the left high-beam headlight.
Unclip housing (1) at points (2).
Remove cover (3) from housing (1).
Unclip engine hood lock pull cable (1) in area (2) and disengage at point (3).
Place housing (4) with associated pull cables in working area to one side.
Installation Note:
Make sure hood/bonnet lock pull cables are correctly laid.
Unlock catch (1) and remove cap (2) in direction of arrow.
Installation Note:
Make sure seal is correctly fitted on cover (2) and cover (2) is correctly seated on headlight.
Unclip halogen bulb for high-beam headlight (1) by pressing from above onto plug connection (2).
Feed halogen bulb for high-beam headlight (1) out of headlight (3).
Disconnect plug connection (2) and remove halogen bulb for high-beam headlight (1).
Installation Note:
Note type of bulb.
Insert halogen bulb for high-beam headlight (1) in headlight (3) at bottom at first and then tilt upwards until bulb (1) snaps audibly into place.
Make sure halogen bulb for high-beam headlight (1) is correctly seated in catches (4).
