Replacing Center Muffler

18 12 045 - Replacing centre muffler (S85)





Special tools required:
- 00 2 210 00 2 210 Exhaust Pipe Cutter





Warning!
Scalding hazard!

Only perform these tasks after exhaust system has cooled down.





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove complete exhaust system Service and Repair





Using replacement muffler, mark length on faulty centre muffler (1).

Cut exhaust pipes with special tool 00 2 210 00 2 210 Exhaust Pipe Cutter at marked points and deburr.





Installation Note:
Connect centre muffler to left and right exhaust pipes by means of clamping sleeves.

Connect centre muffler to rear muffler by means of clamping sleeve.

Install and align exhaust system, tighten down clamping sleeves.
