Removing and Installing/Replacing Lumbar Cushion on Front Seat

52 14 050 - Replacing lumbar cushion on front left or right seat





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove rear panel Removing and Installing/Replacing Rear Panel on Left or Right Front Seat Backrest (Normal/Manual) on front seat backrest.





Unhook backrest cover from backrest frame at bottom and on tunnel side, remove clips if necessary.
Partially pull off left or right backrest cover towards front.





Checks hoses (2) for identification mark and detach.

Note:
If necessary, gently heat air hose when firmly seated.

Installation Note:
Air hoses must be laid without kinks.

When replacing valve housing (valve unit): release screw (1) from front.





Unhook lumbar cushion from spring wire.
Feed out hoses, remove lumbar cushion on tunnel side.





Installation Note:
Check lumbar cushion (1) at top and (2) bottom for damage.
Air hoses (3) must not be kinked.





Installation Note:
Attach lumbar cushion (1) to third wire (2) above spring (3).





Installation Note:
Check function.
