Information on the use of USB devices with SA6FL

To identify connected USB devices, the vendor ID and product ID of the corresponding connected USB device are read. On the basis of this information, the processing and assignment of the data are co-ordinated in the ULF-SBX-H.

Vendor ID
The vendor ID is assigned by USB.org to the manufacturers of USB devices. The following are examples of manufacturers:
- Apple Computer - 0x05AC
- Acer - 0x6547
- Hama - 0x0DDA
- Phillips - 0x0471
- Thomson - 0x069B

Product ID
The product ID is specified by the manufacturer itself. This means that different devices can have the same product ID.

Information on iPod
The iPod USB connecting cable is the only cable with its own vendor ID (0x067B) and product ID (0x2303). This means that this information is always saved in the control module no matter which iPod model is connected.
