Fault description


Condition for fault identification
Test condition:
* Engine temperature > K_LAVK_OBD_TMOT *Sensor
temperature > K_LAVK_OBD_VK_TEMP * since
recognition of overrun, an air mass flow of
K_LAVK_OBD_SA_ML_SUM must have occurred
Terminal condition: Engine running - status overrun cutoff
Voltage condition:
none

Condition for fault memory entry
Oxygen sensor is available (through sensor temperature, no
DTCs, etc.) but the AD value is less than
K_LAVK_OBD_SA_SCHW for the number
K_LAVK_OBD_SA_CNT of measurements

Action in service
1. Check plug and wiring harness to Bank 2 pre-catalyst
oxygen sensor (focus on opens in wires for virtual ground
and pumping current)
2. Replace oxygen sensor

Fault effect and breakdown warning
MIL lamp lights up after engine runs 2X
