Hydraulic Accumulator: Service and Repair




23 42 519 - Replacing pressure accumulator (GS7S47BG SMG)





Important!
Before working on hydraulic system:
- Reduce pressure in hydraulic system by means of Service Function in DIS Tester (Replacement and Repair)
- Disconnect hydraulic pump relay Service and Repair in electronics box
Do not reconnect relay for entire duration of repair work





Important!
After working on hydraulic system:
- Perform bleeding using DIS Tester, refer to Service Functions in DIS Tester (Replacement and Repair)





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Unscrew and remove splash guard.
- Remove reinforcement plate Service and Repair
Important notes on installation are described in this work step
- Remove heat shields





Release screw (1).
Tightening torque 23 41 24AZ [1][2]Automatically Shifted Manual Transmission/Transaxle.
Bend clamp (2) open slightly.
Release pressure accumulator (3) at hexagon head (5).
Remove pressure accumulator (3) with damping ring (4) towards rear.
Tightening torque 23 41 25AZ [1][2]Automatically Shifted Manual Transmission/Transaxle.

Installation Note:
Replace screw (1).
Make sure damping ring (4) is cleanly seated.





Installation Note:
- Observe installation position of sealing ring (1).
