Fuel Filler Hose: Service and Repair

16 11 060 - Removing and installing/replacing fuel filler pipe





Important!
After installing fuel filler pipe, check electrical resistance between metal filler bowl and wheel hub.
Measured value approx. 0.6 W.





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Draw off fuel from fuel tank Procedures.

- Remove rear right wheel Removing or Installing Front or Rear Wheel.

- Remove rear right wheel arch trim.

- Observe safety instructions on raising the vehicle 00 .. ... Lifting Vehicle With A Lifting Platform.





Release plastic nuts (1).

Installation Note:
Tightening torque 16 12 11AZ 16 12 Fuel Delivery.





Unfasten hose clip (1).
Withdraw fuel filler pipe from connecting hose.

Installation Note:
Replace hose clip.
Tightening torque 16 12 10AZ 16 12 Fuel Delivery.
Seal nut with underseal again.





Unfasten hose clip (1).
Detach hose from fuel filler pipe.
Release screw (2).
Withdraw fuel filler pipe (3) from rubber sleeve (4).

Installation Note:
When installing fuel filler pipe, make sure rubber sleeve (4) is correctly seated.
Replace hose clip.
Tightening torque 16 12 10AZ 16 12 Fuel Delivery.
