Important!
Do not under any circumstance remove fluid tank from hydraulic unit.
Use fluid from "Small parts for hydraulic unit" set.

Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove hydraulic unit Removing and Installing/Replacing Hydraulic Unit for Rear Lid Actuation (From 02/03) (Electrohydraulic-Fully Automatic).
Note:
Hoses on hydraulic unit must not be detached.
Have a cleaning cloth and an oil drip tray ready to catch emerging fluid.
Move hydraulic unit (1) into vertical position.
Release screw (2).
Tightening torque 51 24 2AZ [1][2]Specifications.
Top up hydraulic fluid through opening.
Installation Note:
Replace sealing ring.
Check fluid level Notes and Instructions on Automatic Rear Lid Actuation (From 02/03) (Electrohydraulic-Fully Automatic).
When ideal filling is achieved:
Install hydraulic unit.
Close rear lid (motor-driven) twice and open again, this bleeds the system.
When rear lid is fully opened (cylinder retracted), fluid level (2) must be in area (A) of marking (3).
