Condition for fault identification
Test condition:
Examine checksum and alive status of message
VVT_DME_1,VVT_DME_2
Terminal condition: 800 ms after Terminal 15
Voltage condition:
battery voltage >10 V

Condition for fault memory entry
0

Action in service
- Check LoCAN
- if 3 errors are present (bus off / CAN timeout VVT /
communications)
=> Defective bus / DME module
- if 2 errors are present (bus off / CAN timeout VVT)
=> VVT control module fault
- Check wiring harness B
=> Replace VVT ECU as indicated
