Fault description
Pre-catalyst oxygen sensor heater

Condition for fault identification
Test condition:
Recognition of reduced heater performance at the pre-
catalyst oxygen sensor (no defects in heater wiring) is based
on monitoring of the oxygen sensor's cermaic temperature
and the pulse-duty factor
Diagnosis conditions:
- No overrun cutoff
- Exhaust-gas temperature > 400 °C
- No others
Terminal condition: Engine running
Voltage condition:
battery voltage<11V oder Ubatt > 16 volts

Condition for fault memory entry
40 sec.

Action in service
Check plug, replace sensor
